Beastman Conquered!
On June 23, 2018 at 8:12am, I heard the starting gun that began the next 9 hours of my life devoted to swimming 1.2 miles in Wickiup Reservoir in 61 degree water, cycling 58 miles along Mt. Bachelor, and then running 13.1 miles around the perimeter of Sunriver Resort outside of Bend, Oregon. I finished my first ever half Iron distance triathlon in exactly 9 hours! What a surreal experience. A few moments of me questioning my life choices, but overall I was focused on completing this challenge all in the name of raising Cancer fighting dollars for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and in honor of my Father who is battling Leukemia.
Throughout the 8 month training season, I was convinced it was going to be a "one and done"...but now, I'm not so sure. I have a baseline now and now I know what to expect. I think I can certainly PR my next event - whenever and wherever it will be!

12 Days!
In just 12 days I will participate in my first Half-Ironman / Beastman 72.3 event up in Sunriver, Oregon! All of my fingers and toes are crossed that I make it out of the 1.2 mile swim unscathed! What an experience these past 7 months have been with 6 day a week workouts all in preparation for one 9 hour (or less!) endurance event!

Since February, I've been having a blast Associate Producing FanGirl Sports Network, with host Tracey Sandler out of The Underground Group's offices. A monthly roundup of all things NFL and NBA by respective FanGirls!
Now I certainly have a few things to say and should be the New England Patriots FanGirl for the 2018-19 season of FanGirl Sports Network! Whaddaya say Tracey?!
5 Weeks!
In exactly 36 days I will hopefully have completed my first ever Half Ironman/Triathlon! 72.3 delish miles are ahead of me at Pacific Crest Endurance Sports Weekend up in Bend, OR! I am raising serious money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through Team in Training and every bit helps us out! I'm on a mission to hit a lifetime fundraising goal of $15,000 and I'm $2,010 away from that milestone! Let's do this!
